Sop 2, Lizzi Wallace, is not only famous for her amazing vocal cords, but now also for her life-giving blood plasma, having donated a record 12 times!
Believed to be the most prolific female Coronavirus blood plasma donor in the UK, Lizzi has been described by Professor Mike Murphy, Consultant Haematologist at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as an absolute superhero. We couldn’t agree more and are so proud of our fab soprano.
Lizzi contracted Coronavirus at the beginning of the pandemic and her antibodies remain strong, having recently donated her blood plasma for the 12th time, despite having a fear of needles.
Lizzi says it is “a really tiny thing for me to do" but it has helped her get her "head around the pandemic".
